LDDI Hosts 2019 Winter Meeting
LDDI Hosts 2019 Winter Meeting

On Friday, January 11th, LDDI hosted its annual winter meeting in northern Virginia. The meeting was held at the town of Herndon Council Chambers, and drew an audience of nearly 100 professionals from the land development industry. Following recent tradition, the meeting kicked off with presentations from CEE 4274 students and an LDDI program update from Dr. Randy Dymond. Following these presentations, the thematic portion of the meeting began. This year’s meeting theme was “Smart Cities – Land Development and Infrastructure,” and featured a panel of guest speakers from the Town of Herndon, Columbia Capital, Fairfax County, Dominion Energy, Pennoni, and Econsult Solutions. Meeting attendees were also treated to an update on Virginia Tech’s Northern Virginia “Innovation Campus,” delivered by Dr. Steven McNight (VP of the Virginia Tech National Capital Region). Meeting attendees were awarded two PDH credits, and as always the meeting provided excellent networking opportunities. Keep an eye out for your invitation to our summer meeting to be held later this year in Richmond.
